Things to do in Glasgow during the Festive Period – No. 1

There are so many exciting events and things happening in and around Glasgow over the next few weeks and I have a selection of them for you to choose from. Some are weather-dependent, others are strictly for those with a love for having fun! So, here goes……The first is Glasgow on Ice, open for a whole 5 weeks from Saturday 26th November 2011 to Tuesday 3rd January 2012.

It all starts tomorrow!!

Glasgow’s biggest and best outdoor ice rink is back for festive fun and frolics

Lots of fun for all the family!
in 2011! Due to popular demand the rink is now open for over five weeks, closed
only on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Wrap up warm and get down to the Square
for the ultimate Christmas experience – skating under the stars in the heart of
the city.

As well as the ice rink, there is a packed programme of events taking place
in the square every day across the five weeks. Highlights include an amazing
observation wheel, curling classes, a free festive film every Wednesday in our
undercover stage area and a brand new Ice Bite café on the rink.

If you’re thinking of visiting Glasgow for this or any of the other events I’m going to tell you about and want to stay over and savour all the delights of the city at this time of year, I will book your accommodation for you! Just fill out the form on the right and you’ll find all the hotels and apartments you’ll need for your stay in Glasgow. Alternatively email me on or call me on 01899 810 760 and I’ll do all the hard work for you.
