For those that are visiting Barcelona and wonder where to go for a fairly priced drink and a free tapa then look no further than our suggestions below.
In Granada and some other regions in Spain tapas are free with every drink. However in Catalonia this is not the case, there are various bars opening throughout the city that have introduced this tradition and we want you to experience this social ritual.
At Hotels.tv in Barcelona we want you to enjoy the free local tapas bars. Here are our top 5 picks. Vamos a tapear!
Ambient del Sur
Small local bar situated in the L’Eixample district. The tapas menu changes daily. A botellin (a bottle of beer) and a tapa will cost you under 2 euros.
Located in Gràcia, this bar is rated amongst the top ten best hangout bars for their quality and price not only for their free tapas. Great service too. They serve a mean gin and tonic only at 6 euros. Good price compared to the touristic bars around Las Ramblas.
El Moll de Rebaix
Our third pick is located in Barceloneta.
Carrer del Baluart, 84
Andalucian style tapas are served here such as; calamares, patatas bravas etc. They have homemade sangria too. Free wifi and a variety of cocktails to add to the list. Great location and very family friendly.
As de Pikas
Calle París 34, Hospitalet de Llobregat
Great tapas and a fab place to watch any Barca match with the locals!
Carrer de la Comtessa de Sobradel, 9
Located in the Gothic quarter, this ambient bar is perfect for tourists. Try the tasty ‘ensaladilla rusa’, delicious!
