Tune Hotels To Perform On Liverpool Stage

Budget hotel chain Tune Hotels are all set to open a hotel in the centre of Liverpool.

Plans for new hotel on Parker Street in Liverpool

The chain is owned by Malaysian businessman Tony Fernandes, and they are seeking permission to convert the upper four floors of the 11-17 Parker Street into a 127 room hotel. Liverpool council are backing the plans. Tony Fernandes created and developed the Malaysian budget airline Air Asia and controls Team Lotus on Formula 1.

The hotel site was previously Reece’s Ballroom and is famous for being the venue of John and Cynthia Lennon’s wedding reception.

The one other Tune Hotel in the UK is set in Westminster, London.
